TRAINING FOR REAL LIFE!
Our Life Skills & Confidence Club is designed for owners who want to continue training with their dog in a fun, supportive and positive environment.
Suitable for dogs of different ages and stages, including adolescents and adult dogs as well as puppies who have completed their foundation training.
Classes focus on practical, everyday training while helping your dog to become more comfortable, engaged and responsive in a variety of situations. Sessions are relaxed and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunity to practice for real-life distractions, while strengthening the relationship between you and your dog.
Exercises may include:
- Loose lead walking and engagement
- Recall games and reliability
- Calmness and settling around distractions
- Confidence-building activities
- Polite greetings and appropriate social skills
- Impulse control and focus
- Handling skills and body awareness
- Enrichment and problem-solving games
- Progressing existing training skills
Training is taught using positive reinforcement and force-free methods, with an emphasis on building trust, understanding and teamwork. Small class sizes allow for individual support and guidance.
Is this class suitable for my dog?
As this is a group class, dogs need to be comfortable enough to settle and learn in the presence of other dogs and people. Dogs do not need to interact with one another, and appropriate space will be maintained throughout the class.
If your dog finds being around other dogs or people difficult, becomes highly stressed, or is unable to settle or work at a comfortable distance, please contact me before booking so we can discuss whether this class is the right environment for them.
Whether you want to improve everyday manners, build confidence, strengthen existing learning or simply enjoy training together, Life Skills & Confidence Club provides a fun way to continue your dog’s training journey.
